A tiny, rural hamlet, Huntingford is situated amongst glorious unspoilt countryside on the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire. Ideal for walking and taking in the superb country views, the area is well served by attractive inns and is also very well placed for exploring numerous National Trust properties and gardens, including Stourhead, only 4 miles away. Longleat House and Safari Park, as well as the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury, featured in the famous 'Hovis' advert, are also an easy drive. A little further afield, Stonehenge, Wilton House, the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury and even the stunning Dorset Jurassic Coast are all easily accessible. This lovely area will provide you with a holiday to remember at any time of the year.

An interesting, unusual, detached former chapel, fully re-built in 2008 to replicate the original wooden structure dating back to 1867, in the tranquil, rural hamlet of Huntingford, close to the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire. This quality renovation has inspired interest locally and nationally, having been featured on TV's 'Homes Under The Hammer' and in 'Dorset Life' magazine. The characterful, timber-clad interior, with its high beamed, vaulted ceiling and superb galleried landing, gives the living space a light and airy feel, while there is a lovely kitchen and bathroom at the rear, as well as an attractive eaves bedroom. The chapel stands in its own garden surrounded by glorious countryside and farm land, with access to plenty of walks. Locally, there are country pubs serving good food and real ales, with trout fishing also available close by. Ideal away from it all kind of holiday.
The unique accommodation was beautifully presented. We particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove - something we had not come across before. Although there was a first class central heating system the wood burner made a lovely focal point. Altogether a first class holiday.

An unusual property with high interest and novelty value. It was also very warm and comfortable with all that you could need. The location is idyllic being both quiet and rural yet within easy reach of villages and towns in Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset, including the coast which was a short drive away. The owners were extremely welcoming and even provided us with a home made cake on our arrival!
