"Extremely friendly and helpful owners who made us very welcome."
Could not fault accommodation but personally found two seater sofa uncomfortable. Would love to visit again.
-
"The cottage was very cosy & comfortable, the Kitchen was well equipped, but perhaps could do with a new Potato masher, as it is very flimsy - Being Pernickety."
Because the Bedroom was small, it obviously limited the owners ability to have enough clothes & shoes storage etc. But we managed. The owner was friendly & welcoming.

"Very pleased to have been able to stay at Bramley Nook for 5 weeks whilst demolition was underway at our home."
The Nook provided all the facilities we needed and lovely dog walk up to pretty Norman Church. Kind welcoming hosts. Thank you.
-
"Lovely, comfortable annex, with everything we needed."
Perfect for base for our house hunting mission. Although Mandy had a lot on her plate she still had time to ensure our stay was perfect giving us valuable information regarding local areas etc. Would we recommend a stay here ? A definite yes, lovely accommodation in a peaceful location with a pub nearby. And Lenny the dog enjoyed it too.
-
"This was a lovely base from which to explore the beautiful New Forest National Park and Cranborne Chase AONB."
The owners nextdoor were very helpful and welcoming. Damerham is a lovely village and the local pub is very accomodating.
-
"On the whole, comfortable accommodation and we enjoyed our stay there."
-
"No thank you"
-
"One of the cleanest properties I have ever stayed in."
However the kitchen utensils/equipment were very basic. Eg: only 1 tea towel, & only 1 item to wash up with (sponge). Plates, glasses minimal. But overall it's a nice small cottage in a beautiful village.

"Fantastic cosy week at this cottage, would definitely return, owner made us very welcome, home rom home feeling."
Everything we needed for a relaxing enjoyable holiday...

"Lovely accommodation, everything we needed, all clean and in great condition, helpful and friendly, great patio area for the dog, lovely local walks."
Can’t fault our stay and highly recommended. Wifi, my phone signal was on and off I use ee, so others might be better, (but didn’t realise you can use wifi calling, found out after- my lack of technology basics!!) pub along the road lovely and quiet, the cricket ground is behind the pub and nice short walk around it for the dog in the evening. Great location to get to Bournemouth, Swanage, Lymington, Brockenhurst, Poole, Salisbury. I would definitely stay again

A little remote, but we were aware of that.

The owners and their family very friendly and we got to know them well. There is a pub right next door that do meals as well. Would definitely recommend it.

"Very comfortable and a good home base to see the new forest"

"Good location for exploring the New Forest."

"The description of the property was accurate in that sense it therefore met our expectations (rather than exceeded them) because we fealt we knew what to expect, not because we were in any sense disappointed."
The place was spotless. It is in a great location for a touring base of the Hampshire/Wiltshire/Dorset border area, with easy access to the New Forest and also the coast. The owners were friendly and helpful, but equally didn't impose - there for a problem if you needed, but otherwise left you to it, so that it became "your place" for the stay. The pub is literally next door, so no driving worries - although we didn't fancy it for eating, especially in the "Covid world." The ceilings in the property are low and the main room is shady rather than bright. The kitchen equipment would benefit from a corkscrew! Damerham is a livelier little place than you might anticipate from its location, so there was a bit of "breakfast time" traffic, however the description, which I read in another review, that it is noisy is an exaggeration. We'd go back!

"We were very comfortable in this accommodation and had everything we needed."
The area is full of history- loads of walks to various Neolithic, Bronze and Iron age sites. The village that WH Hudson wrote about in this book A Shepherd's Life is just up the road. It is easy to drive to Salisbury and we also drove to Christchurch. The annex is roomy and we had our privacy. The patio was lovely on a sunny day.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bramley Nook, we have never hired a cottage before, it was a first for us, everything was to our expectations."
Veronica and her husband were very friendly, they have a wonderful home and garden which made the outlook from the courtyard garden we had very pleasant. Totally secure for our little dog. So peace of mind when letting her out. The experience for us was great, so near to lovely places to visit. Anita & Ken Campion

"Had a wonderful week despite the rain, the annexe was clean and comfortable and very warm and cosy even without the heating on, well located to visit all the local attractions and handy for the coast."
No DVD player even though it is mentioned in the description of the property.
-
"Great area to stay, lots to do close by."
The cottage was as advertised and the owners very helpful but not intrusive.
-
"Wi Fi was hit and miss ."
there is no dvd player as advertised ,
-
"Just a small point really but nevertheless important , there is no DVD player just a freeview TV as shown on the list of equipment and in the photos, we had taken a few DVDs for evening entertainment or if the weather was rough (October time) which was disappointing for my 14 year old daughter."
-
"The owners are friendly and helpful , super little annexe ."
It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed . Lovely patio with views of the chickens .

"Returned home early."
Didn't like traffic noise which was very close to wall of bed room and very noisy from 5.30 on wards. Could not walk dog out side property for same reason Have always had information on Doctors, vets, and footpaths in accommodation NO info at all. In all for a sykes holiday it let us down badly, have always booked through your company but will think twice next time and may look at other companies. Just about enough kitchen utensils etc for two. Only saw owner on arrival and when we loaded suitcase in car on leaving. Didn't like having to walk along busy road to unload car from one side of building across front of owners part to gate at other side. Can not understand while remarks in visitors book were on the whole good as perhaps they had not stayed in many other selfcatering cottages before

It was close to the forest and the ferry to the ise of wight which we went across
-
"Very comfy and had everything we needed."
Certainly close to Salisbury although it seemed like we were far away in a tiny village.
-
"Local maps would be useful for walkers plus local info regarding recycling and doctors, vet's etc"
-
"We loved this accommodation the owners were excellent ."
The accommodation suited our needs and the enclosed court yard was perfect for our young dog. We would definitely book this accommodation again .
-
"No, this was a perfect place to stay, handy for many destinations, in an area never before visited ."
Thank you.
-
"A really comfortable cottage."
The friendly owners live next door, but were not intrusive. Secure small courtyard for the dog, a large sports field for exercising dogs and a dog friendly pub next door.
-
"Property was very cosy and comfortable."
Owners very nice and helpful. Location was ideal for exploring the New Forest and also Dorset. Ample places for dog walking and several dog friendly pubs locally.
-
"Excellent location for New Forest, Southampton, Portsmouth and adjacent coastal areas."
Well situated for access to Winchester and Salisbury. An easy 2 hour drive on mainly "A" and "B" roads (other quicker routes can be taken including the M3) from Heathrow Airport. Bramley Nook is close to the Compasses Inn which is a bonus feature of the stay and made our stay even more enjoyable. The owners were efficient, obliging and very pleasant.
-
"THE COTTAGE WAS SITUATED IN A VERY PRETTY VILLAGE IN THE NEW FOREST, THE OWNER LIVES NEXT DOOR, VERY FRIENDLY."
NOT TOO FAR FROM ANYWHERE, A NICE DRIVE THROUGH THE FOREST ON THE WAY TO THE LOCAL TOWN, THERE WAS A FRIENDLY PUB/HOTEL TOO, JUST A FEW DOORS AWAY, VERY QUIET. GOOD RESTAURANTS IN EASY REACH, THE LOCALS ARE FRIENDLY TOO. NEARBY IS A VINEYARD WHERE YOU CAN BUY THEIR LOCAL WINE; NOT CHEAP BY FRENCH STANDARDS BUT ITS NICE TO BE PATRIOTIC AND DRINK LOCAL PRODUCE. WE WILL CERTAINLY GO AGAIN. LYNDHURST IS NOT FAR AWAY, A TOWN WITH SOME GOOD SHOPS.
-
"Very comfortable, very clean, very welcoming."
Everything we needed for a relaxing week away, with our dog too!
-
"Very comfortable and compact without feeling cramped, Owners very helpful and friendly."
Amazingly quiet considering it`s location is adjacent to the road. The location is ideal for both exploring the New Forest to the east and towns and villages to the south and west. We liked it so much we have booked again for next year!
