  • "Extremely friendly and helpful owners who made us very welcome."

Could not fault accommodation but personally found two seater sofa uncomfortable. Would love to visit again.

  • "The cottage was very cosy & comfortable, the Kitchen was well equipped, but perhaps could do with a new Potato masher, as it is very flimsy - Being Pernickety."

Because the Bedroom was small, it obviously limited the owners ability to have enough clothes & shoes storage etc. But we managed. The owner was friendly & welcoming.

Perfect for base for our house hunting mission. Although Mandy had a lot on her plate she still had time to ensure our stay was perfect giving us valuable information regarding local areas etc. Would we recommend a stay here ? A definite yes, lovely accommodation in a peaceful location with a pub nearby. And Lenny the dog enjoyed it too.

However the kitchen utensils/equipment were very basic. Eg: only 1 tea towel, & only 1 item to wash up with (sponge). Plates, glasses minimal. But overall it's a nice small cottage in a beautiful village.

Wifi, my phone signal was on and off I use ee, so others might be better, (but didn’t realise you can use wifi calling, found out after- my lack of technology basics!!) pub along the road lovely and quiet, the cricket ground is behind the pub and nice short walk around it for the dog in the evening. Great location to get to Bournemouth, Swanage, Lymington, Brockenhurst, Poole, Salisbury. I would definitely stay again

  • "The description of the property was accurate in that sense it therefore met our expectations (rather than exceeded them) because we fealt we knew what to expect, not because we were in any sense disappointed."

The place was spotless. It is in a great location for a touring base of the Hampshire/Wiltshire/Dorset border area, with easy access to the New Forest and also the coast. The owners were friendly and helpful, but equally didn't impose - there for a problem if you needed, but otherwise left you to it, so that it became "your place" for the stay. The pub is literally next door, so no driving worries - although we didn't fancy it for eating, especially in the "Covid world." The ceilings in the property are low and the main room is shady rather than bright. The kitchen equipment would benefit from a corkscrew! Damerham is a livelier little place than you might anticipate from its location, so there was a bit of "breakfast time" traffic, however the description, which I read in another review, that it is noisy is an exaggeration. We'd go back!

  • "We were very comfortable in this accommodation and had everything we needed."

The area is full of history- loads of walks to various Neolithic, Bronze and Iron age sites. The village that WH Hudson wrote about in this book A Shepherd's Life is just up the road. It is easy to drive to Salisbury and we also drove to Christchurch. The annex is roomy and we had our privacy. The patio was lovely on a sunny day.

Veronica and her husband were very friendly, they have a wonderful home and garden which made the outlook from the courtyard garden we had very pleasant. Totally secure for our little dog. So peace of mind when letting her out. The experience for us was great, so near to lovely places to visit. Anita & Ken Campion

Didn't like traffic noise which was very close to wall of bed room and very noisy from 5.30 on wards. Could not walk dog out side property for same reason Have always had information on Doctors, vets, and footpaths in accommodation NO info at all. In all for a sykes holiday it let us down badly, have always booked through your company but will think twice next time and may look at other companies. Just about enough kitchen utensils etc for two. Only saw owner on arrival and when we loaded suitcase in car on leaving. Didn't like having to walk along busy road to unload car from one side of building across front of owners part to gate at other side. Can not understand while remarks in visitors book were on the whole good as perhaps they had not stayed in many other selfcatering cottages before
