  • "Well equipped cottage with quality fittings, cooker etc, quiet location, good central location with easy quick access to New Forest and surrounding resorts."

    Cottage was slightly smaller than expected but adequate space for two. My only minor criticism is that there is no freeze box in the fridge, when one is on holiday, ice cubes are essential for those holiday drinks. Putting that aside, I would stay there again and would recommend this cottage to others.

    Large enough for two and well equipped with above standard appliances. Faultlessly built and tastefully decorated, a true haven. With the back garden area for your use, the perfect spot to relax and discuss the day after touring Dorset .Greeted warmly by the owners and the chocolates and Prosecco were most welcome !     Away from the hustle and bustle, no road noise just the sound of the birds singing in the trees. The place was immaculately clean, plenty of indoor space and in show home condition with quality furnishings throughout. There are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. Because of lockdown we had to wait an extra year for this holiday but it was well worth the wait. This is a 5 star modern holiday let in our book but without the 5 star price.

It is situated at the end of a short drive in a quiet area in the lovely village of Verwood. Verwood is ideally situated for visiting Southampton & Poole to the south & Salisbury & Stonehenge to the north. We couldn’t fault our stay & can’t recommend it enough.

    A warm welcome and thoughtful gift greeted us on arrival. The bungalow is very well equipt, tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and in a peaceful quiet location. Appreciated having the central heating and washing machine. The weather was not great with only one dry day but as the bungalow is in a good location there is plenty near by to do and keep dry. Even managed a long day trip to Isle Of Wight. A highly recommendable property which we would very much love to stay at again.

    Couple of pubs within walking distance as well, The Swans having good offers most nights. We were made very welcome by Neil and Jo at the cottage and it was lovely to receive a welcome gift on arrival. The cottage is perfect for two people, spotlessly clean, nicely presented and well equipped. It was also nice to be able to come back and just relax on the peaceful and quiet patio area after a day out sightseeing. Overall all, we had a great stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to others.

    Really appreciated the thoughtful little bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been curtains in the bedroom, as the blinds let in a bit of light in the mornings. But overall it was great.

    Owners left us a nice bottle of Prosecco and box of chocolates. Morrisons have a new large supermarket just down the road. Cottage is perfectly situated to tour the area, lots of National Trust properties within easy reach. New forest is very close with lovely open countryside and views of the ponies.

Ringwood 5 miles; The New Forest 7 miles; Bournemouth 14 miles.

The thriving, bustling community of Verwood can be found in rural East Dorset, close to the borders of Hampshire and Wiltshire, only 5 miles from Ringwood, home to the lovely Moors Valley Country Park including the Go Ape high-wire adventure. Verwood is surrounded by glorious farmland and lovely countryside, and makes a great touring centre. Within 6 miles lies the boundary of the New Forest, a fascinating and scenic National Park, famous for its wild ponies, deer, pretty villages and quaint inns, as well as the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. An easy drive south takes you to the award winning sandy beaches, great shops, theatres and cinemas at Bournemouth, or travel a short distance north to the historic city of Salisbury, with its stunning cathedral, Wilton House and, of course, Stonehenge.
