  • "Such a lovely property with direct views of the imposing ruin of Corfe Castle."

Corfe Lodge is a large spacious house, clean and well equipped - ideal for a large family holiday in Purbeck. Laura and Paul were very welcoming and the whole house is light and airy with plenty of accommodation and storage. The garden and patio area are secure and private with lovely views and occasional visiting deer on the neighbouring hillside. A high quality property throughout which has been thoughtfully separated from the owners adjoining property behind. 5 stars.

Thank you so much for your full and fab review. We are so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay at the cottage, had plenty of room and that the deer put in the occasional appearance. It was a a pleasure to have you all to stay over the Easter holidays. Property Owner

The house is well equipped and fairly comfortable although the beds are a bit hard. The property was very clean and welcoming.

It was a very spacious house with everything you could possibly need. Very clean and a lovely welcome pack from the hosts. It is in an area that is central to visiting lots of places but not having to travel far. We would definitely stay here if we visit this area again.

Thanks for such lovely feedback. So glad you enjoyed your family holiday here and explored so much of the beautiful local area. Would be great to have you stay again if you return to the Purbeck area. Property Owner

It was convenient for visiting the attractions in the surrounding area. We had a super stay.

Thank you very much for your lovely comments about the property , both on-line and in the Guest Book at the cottage. We are so pleased you all enjoyed yourselves, saw the Castle lit up for the outdoor event and even caught sight of the deer on the hill. Glad you could enjoy exploring the area and had fun at the seaside. Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable and well equipped."

Plenty of space for everyone and lovely to have the views of Corfe Castle. Having the steam trains so close was a real treat. The only negative point is the size/weight of the plates which we found rather cumbersome!

Thank you for your positive feedback about the property. Much appreciated. With regards to the plates, having decided to equip the cottage kitchen with Denby crockery as apposed to a budget range, the plates are more robust. We are sorry to hear that this wasn’t the most convenient for you and having taken your comments on board, a lighter/smaller additional set will be provided going forward. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Property Owner

Lovely touch by the owners, with the little starter kit that was left out on our arrival. Everything about our stay was 1st class and we will definitely be looking to come back at some point in the near future. • "We had a wonderful three generation family stay at Corfe lodge."

The owners have really worked hard to turn their former family home into a brilliant place to stay. They were very responsive to emails I sent and also live next door, so are on hand should you need anything, without being intrusive (and you have plenty of privacy). The property is very well appointed with everything you could need included. The private garden has views of the castle and is a great spot to deer watch. The location was even better than we expected as the postcode given early on in the booking process is not reflective of the exact location. It’s only a 5-10 minute walk into Corfe which is a lovely village, with a few shops, bakery, cafe, pubs etc. There isn’t a path for the first 100 yards or so for the walk into the village, but we navigated it with a pushchair without too much trouble. Overall a wonderful stay, and we’d definitely recommend / love to return one day.

Thank you for such a kind and full review. So glad you have enjoyed the cottage and found it had all you needed for your family holiday. With regards to the location of the property, the details explaining it’s close proximity to the Castle and the village (rather than the centre of the postcode), were already with the agency but it seems were only provided by them at a later stage in your booking. Having now raised the matter, I have been informed that this information will be provided by them earlier. Property Owner

The Lodge lacked nothing and offered all the comforts of home. It was a real pleasure seeing the deer and squirrels every day. The garden was safe and perfect for two boisterous children. Just gorgeous. Thank you June 2022

The property is extremely well equipped, immaculately clean, warm, and perfect for our 2 families. The owners are generous and on hand in case of any issue. The garden is enclosed and safe with visiting deer and rabbits in the land at the side. It is very well placed for walking into Corfe, running around the many paths and cycling. We would happily visit again. Thank you
