The immediate area surrounding the cottage is abundant in wildlife, serene and peaceful; with only the sound of birdsong to accompany your alfresco dining, it is the perfect retreat for friends, families and couples seeking a relaxing break in the country.
Inside, on the ground floor, there is a kitchen with a dining table for six and a sitting room with a woodburner.
With exposed stone walls and wooden beams, it is a really lovely, cosy place to relax together in cooler months.
On the other side of the kitchen, an open doorway leads into a bright conservatory where you will find six comfy armchairs facing a delightful view of the garden and countryside, beyond.
Sitting here, you can sometimes spot the deer that come right up to the cottage!
Upstairs are three pretty bedrooms, a traditional bathroom and a shower room with a shower cubicle.
The first two bedrooms are each accessed down three steps from the hallway, and the master room has large wardrobes, a wicker armchair by the window, and a double bed which enjoys the marvellous views.
The lawned garden has a brick-built, covered seating area, and there is a covered patio with outdoor dining furniture.
There are lots of great walks in the area and there are lots of interesting days out to enjoy at Stourhead, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and Stonehenge.

Penselwood is a charming hamlet consisting of a sprinkling of pretty cottages, a village church and a children's play area, all surrounded by lush farmland and unspoiled countryside. Situated on the borders of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire and reached by little country lanes from the nearby scattered village of Bourton, this is a superb, peaceful area to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The area offers great walking and you'll be spoilt for choice of places to visit, with the magnificent house and gardens at Stourhead, and historic Shaftesbury and Longleat House and Safari Park within a short drive. Travel a little further afield and visit Yeovilton Air Museum, Stonehenge, the Cheddar Gorge, and the magnificent cathedral cites of Salisbury, Wells and Bath. An excellent rural base from which to explore this lovely area.
