The town of Clevedon is on the North Somerset coast across the Bristol Channel from Wales and is less than thirty minutes' drive from the centre of Bristol. It is situated between rolling hills and a beautiful coastline, and was a renowned Victorian seaside resort, and still has some marvellous architecture from that era, especially the Grade II listed pier. This is one of the best piers in the country, built to withstand 40-foot high tides and as such it gives wonderful view of Wales for those strolling along it on a fine day. Many poets have been inspired by the views from Clevedon Pier, and there is a magnificent coastal walk – Poets Walk – named after them. Clevedon is easily accessible from the M5 motorway and offers a range of interesting shops as well as the usual High Street stores, many cafes and restaurants, a renowned Jazz club and the National Trust-owned Clevedon Court, a medieval manor house open to the public and displaying local Elton-ware pottery made at Clevedon Court. So whether it is traditional coastal scenery or a trip to Bristol that you enjoy, Clevedon makes a good base.

This semi-detached Somerset holiday cottage lies on the outskirts of Tickenham village, 2 miles from Clevedon and 3 miles from Nailsea, set along a quiet lane and situated next to the owners’ property, overlooking the moor in the distance. The living area of this Clevedon cottage is open plan, with modern style furnishings and the benefit of a woodburner, ideal for cosy evenings in front of the TV. This charming Clevedon cottage would suit couples or groups wanting a rural retreat, but it is also easily accessible from Bristol or the M5. At the rear of this Clevedon cottage there is a completely private large garden with lawn and decking. A couple of miles from this Somerset cottage, the seaside resort of Clevedon offers many attractions including one of the UK’s highest piers, built in Victorian times, with views towards the Welsh mountains on a fine day. Also on offer are Clevedon Court, a National Trust property with magnificent gardens, and Clevedon golf course with fabulous views across the Severn Estuary. The thriving town of Nailsea is also close by, offering a small shopping precinct with shops, restaurants and takeaways, while National Trust owned Tyntesfield Estate is within easy reach. Less than thirty minutes' drive away is Bristol for a spot of retail therapy, a visit to the bustling waterside development with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants or a trip to the theatre. This Clevedon cottage offers an ideal holiday stay within easy reach of the M5 but in a beautiful rural location close to the coast.
