Glenuig village looks west across the Sound of Arisaig towards the small Isles of Eigg, Muck, Rum and Canna. The Sound of Arisaig is a Marine Conservation Area, home to maerl (a type of seaweed only found in unpolluted waters) and other fascinating flora and fauna. A tiny community of just over thirty folk, Glenuig is located in the Parish of Moidart in remote West Lochaber - including the neighbouring settlements of Samalaman and Alt Ruadh, Glenuig contains 21 houses in permanent occupation plus four holiday homes. Local activities include walking, fishing, golf, watersports and bird watching. Frequent sightings of wildlife include otters, deer, eagles and even the occasional porpoise. A superb Glenuig cottage, the ideal spot for a restful, peaceful retreat.

The setting was ideal for us - close to the water for kayaking and great cycle and walking routes all round. The property was well equipped for cooking for larger numbers and drying everything out!

A lovely cottage in the most perfect of surroundings. The nearby beaches were of the highest standard and deserted at this time of the year. The garden was enclosed with a sturdy fence which meant that the puppy was secure at all times giving us peace of mind when sitting outside sipping our glass of wine!
