About the location

Kilchoan

Tobermory 7 miles (via ferry).

The pretty village of Kilchoan is the most westerly village in mainland Britain, situated on the stunning Ardnamurchan Peninsula and surrounded by magnificent mountains and breathtaking coastal views. The area close to Kilchoan offers a choice of quiet sandy beaches and an abundance of wildlife with eagles regularly spotted overhead. Until 1900 the village was only accessible by sea, but now access is via a single track road that leads through some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland. The village has good local services including a shop, pub and restaurant, and from Mingary Pier there is a regular ferry service across the Sound of Mull to Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull. Tobermory offers visitors enhanced services and it is quite feasible to take the ferry across for a nice meal out in one of Tobermory’s restaurants or perhaps do a little shopping? A short drive away is Ardnamurchan Point complete with its own lighthouse and visitors centre which is well worth a visit, or perhaps you simply want to sit on the glorious Sanna beach and enjoy the views across the clear blue sea to the islands of Muck, Eigg, Rum and Canna?

It is a beautiful cottage, really cosy and warm. It is great to have high quality accommodation.

Miss Oflanagan, Bristol, November 2013

The cabin was immaculate, the scenery stunning, and we were able to relax completely. The lady who looks after the property was very helpful. A great holiday!

Mrs Barnes, Manchester, October 2013

Quite simply our favourite place. We have fallen head over heels in love with area, the people, and Craigard. A home from home, (although we did not miss our actual home in the slightest). We will be back again, and again, and again.

Mr Turnbull, Chester Le Street, October 2013

The property was perfect for the holiday we wanted. It was a home from home, and the location was stunning.

Mrs Roberts, Barnstaple, October 2013

The accommodation was very comfortable and the sheltered veranda was ideal for sitting outside enjoying a coffee, bird-watching or just soaking up the scenery.

Mrs Boddy, Dumfries, September 2013

Heaven on Earth!

Mrs Watson, Melton Mowbray, August 2013

Loved the location of the property, tranquil and very scenic. The property was very cosy and the area is spectacular!

Mr Johnson, Rotherham, August 2013

The cabin was clean and cosy, and provided with all the facilities of home, such as white goods and clean fresh bed linen.

Mr Thomson, Edinburgh, August 2013

Peaceful and tranquil. Beautiful nearby beaches.

Mr Jones, Deeside, June 2013

Wonderful location and a very well equipped lovely cabin. The owner took extra measures to ensure the perfect stay by preparing extra child friendly measures and activities. We had a fantastic holiday!
