The seaside village of Tully sits on the picturesque Renvyle Peninsula, County Galway. The village lies on the Atlantic Ocean, and fishermen still land the daily catch on the small pier by the beach. The village has two bars, a post office, a supermarket and a horse-riding centre, as well as Teach Ceoil, a music house which holds traditional evenings of music each Tuesday evening during July and August. Across the bay are the mountains of Mweelrea and Croagh Patrick, and within easy reach are Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, and Inishbofin Island, not to mention numerous walking and cycling routes, sea cruises, angling trips and much more. A wonderful base for a relaxing Irish holiday.

The Property

Tully 0.5 mile. A pretty, detached cottage, surrounded by beautiful lawned gardens, and boasting sea and mountain views, 0.5 miles from the seaside village of Tully, on the picturesque Renvyle Peninsula, and just 12 miles from Clifden, the capital of Connemara, County Galway. Inside this Tully cottage the bright, spacious rooms are well-presented, and with wooden floors and large picture windows this is a welcoming Tully cottage for a fantastic Ireland getaway. The well-equipped kitchen, with additional oil fired range cooker, make the kitchen and dining area a cosy retreat for family fun, and the true heart of the house, while the sitting room, with warming open fire, provides a wonderful place to relax. From the windows of this Tully cottage guests can enjoy the lovely sea and mountain views, or sit out and relax in the lawned garden enjoying a BBQ, and watching the sun set over the Twelve Pins. The area around this Tully cottage is home to a great number of activities for all the family to enjoy; spend a day traversing the Twelve Pins, enjoy the lovely sandy beach close by, or visit the Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, or Inishbofin Island, there is plenty to see and do.

On arrival the owner supplied us with home made scones with jam and fresh cream; a nice touch - yummy! There was a small fenced off area with swings for the children.
