The town of Clifden, the capital of Connemara, is a short drive away, and is home to a fantastic range of pubs, shops and eateries, and plays host to a variety of colourful festivals throughout the year. Just 15 minutes' drive from Rosmuc is Rossaveal Harbour, and from here you can catch a day ferry to the Aran Islands, where you can step back in time and see some of the finest examples of Stone built forts in Europe. Connemara National Park is close by for a great day out, as is the world famous Kylemore Abbey with its breathtaking views and beautiful setting. With guided walking tours, world class golf, horse riding, angling, historic houses and boat trips to enjoy, there is something to please even the most discerning of visitors!

Rosmuc 2.5 miles. This compact, detached cottage dates back to the 1800s, and offers simple, but comfortable accommodation, 2.5 miles from Rosmuc, County Galway. With original character features and a charming atmosphere, as well as views of the Twelve Bens mountains, this delightful Irish cottage is wonderful for a rural, country escape. Located amidst the Connemara countryside, this cottage is situated between Rosmuc and Kilkerrin village, and has lovely walking opportunities from the doorstep, and is an ideal base for artists and photographers. Loughs Invermore, Inverbeg, Aliggan and Curreel to name but a few are right behond this Rosmuc cottage, while fishing can also be arranged at the nearby Screebe Fishery or from the Zetland Hotel. Located on the R340, this lovely cottage has great touring opportunities; just a short drive away, the lively town of Clifden is ideal for a day out the whole family can enjoy, while just a little further, the Connemara National Park is great for walking and nature watching. This Connemara cottage has lots to see and do all year round.
