Lettermullen is a small island off the west coast of Ireland, in the Connemara region, County Galway. The most westerly of three islands in the bay, Lettermore, Gorumna and Lettermullen, Lettermullen is linked to the mainland via bridges and causeways, through the other two islands. Lettermullen is part of the Gaeltacht regions of Ireland, where the Irish language is most commonly spoken. The island is home to a unique 9-hole golf course as well as lovely sandy beaches and shorelines to explore. Galway City lies 36 miles from Lettermullen, and is easily accessed via the beautiful coast road, over the bridges and causeways, and provides lots of activities for a great day out. Lettermullen is the perfect holiday destination for those seeking a peaceful, beautiful getaway.

This traditional, detached cottage dates back 207 years, and is situated in a lakeside location, with stunning, uninterrupted views over the lake and sea beyond, on the island of Lettermullen, in the Connemara region, County Galway. Cosy and comfortable, this Lettermullen cottage is furnished and decorated in a traditional style, providing a quaint, welcoming home-from-home for families or friends. The location of this Lettermullen cottage makes it ideal for birdwatchers and artists alike, and with use of the owner's boat, launched from the pier, this Lettermullen cottage is also perfect for a day on the lake, or for enjoying a spot of fishing, with brown trout fishing available on the lake or deep sea fishing further out. There are many lovely beaches on the island, so you could spend a day at one of these, or drive along the coast road to bustling Galway City, knowing that at the end of the day, you can easily return to the peace and tranquillity of your Lettermullen cottage.
