Lettermullen is a small island off the west coast of Ireland, in the Connemara region, County Galway. The most westerly of three islands in the bay, Lettermore, Gorumna and Lettermullen, Lettermullen is linked to the mainland via bridges and causeways, through the other two islands. Lettermullen is part of the Gaeltacht regions of Ireland, where the Irish language is most commonly spoken. The island is home to a unique 9-hole golf course as well as lovely sandy beaches and shorelines to explore. Galway City lies 36 miles from Lettermullen, and is easily accessed via the beautiful coast road, over the bridges and causeways, and provides lots of activities for a great day out.
