We were made very welcome by the owners. The house was obviously recently lived in by the owners and we were made to feel as their guests. It was fully equipped with washing/drying machines/dish washer/sky TV/Masses of DVD's and CD's and best of all a store of children's toys, much to the delight of our grand daughter. The location was perfect with a beach at the bottom of the garden and more a short walk away. A plentiful supply of bird nuts & seed was provided to ensure a steady display of finches, blue tits etc and vists from the local red squirrals. A rare treat. All this is topped off by superb views across the Solent. The Portsmouth/Fishbourne ferry was close by and came in every 15-20 minutes but did not really intrude. All in all it cannot be faulted
Ryde 3 miles; Newport 5 miles.
Fishbourne is a small parish, about a mile from Wootton Bridge and only 2 miles from the seaside resort of Ryde. The parish is situated on the banks of Wootton Creek, a favourite mooring place for yachtsmen and the embarkation point for the Wightlink Portsmouth Ferry. The Isle of Wight coastal path passes through the community, which is well served by an excellent pub, and a shingle beach is exposed at low tide; great for paddling and fishing. There's so much to see and do in this lovely area catering for all tastes and ages, from the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Queen Victoria's Osborne House and Quarr Abbey, to Robin Hill Adventure Park, and Brickfields Horse Country. Ryde is just a short drive, offering 6 miles of superb sandy beaches, and numerous attractions including 10 pin bowling, and an ice rink as well as a great selection of shops and restaurants. In fact there's so much to do a week isn't nearly long enough!

Previous visitors' comments about Green Corner:
The location of the property was excellent. The owners of the property have made the garden very attractive to birds and watching them over breakfast was particularly nice. Although the Ryde - Fishbourne ferries dock only yards away, they added interest to the view from the lounge and rarely created sufficient noise to disturb us.

A wonderful warm friendly welcome from the owners with wine and chocolates for arrival! The house was really spacious, clean and well equipped. The kids loved the toys, board games and especially the bunk beds! A fantastic time was had by all - there is so much to do on the Isle of Wight, particularly if you have small children. Superb!

We have never been to a property where it was better than what is advertised - but this one certainly was! We certainly fell on our feet here, we cannot say enough about the place. In fact we arrived home Sat and have already booked it for next year! I do not think you can better this one...
