Durley is an attractive small south Hampshire village, only a short drive from Bishops Waltham and Botley, and 7 miles north east of Southampton. The village is surrounded by lovely countryside which provides super rural walks, yet there are excellent transport links close by which take you to many places of interest. Well worth visiting is the picturesque Meon Valley, and the lovely River Hamble, and nearby Marwell Zoo provides a great day out. Alternatively, take a trip to the fascinating Royal Naval Dockyard at Portsmouth, where you can explore HMS Victory, visit historic Winchester or how about treating yourselves at Hedge End Shopping Outlet or even venture down to Southampton's West Quay? With The New Forest, Poulton’s Park and sandy beaches within 40 minutes, there's so much to see and do catering for all interests within easy reach of this lovely area.

These charming Durley cottages have been converted to a very high standard, and both boast cosy woodburners, as well as en-suite facilities. These Durley cottages are set within the owner's farmyard, where horses often come and go from the adjacent stables. Locally, there are many lovely walks and the owner is happy to offer visitors riding lessons or hacking by arrangement from her nearby equestrian centre. There are plenty of places to visit within a short drive of these Durley cottages, including Marwell Zoo, the beautiful Meon Valley, and the Hamble River, whilst the historic Royal Naval Dockyard at Portsmouth and ancient Winchester are also easily accessible. The location was great and the owners were wonderful to us and very hospitable. It was also a very nice touch to have a welcome pack left for us of home made cake and milk. The children also liked the fact that there were two horses in the stables opposite us that they could fuss and pet every day.
