A small rural village surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire countryside, yet close to the Welsh Border in an area known as The Marches. The village has a pub serving good food and is home to the magnificent Kinnersley Castle, originally Norman but today seen as a remodeled Elizabethan Manor House, with 8 acres of lovely grounds. Close by is the beautiful Golden Valley, flanked by the Black Mountains to the west, and with Offa's Dyke, Radnor Forest and the Wye Valley, this whole area provides excellent scenic walking, cycling and bird watching. Just 8 miles away is the market town of Hay-on-Wye, with over 30 book shops, excellent pubs, restaurants and antique shops, making it one of the most visited tourist attractions in Wales. The epitome of picturesque England, the ancient city of Hereford lies 15 miles away, with its magnificent cathedral with famous chained library and Mappa Mundi, and medieval bridge over the winding River Wye. A lovely location with plenty to see and do.
