This pleasant town has a number of good shops, pubs, restaurants and a variety of tourist attractions close by including Eastnor Castle, Hergest Croft Gardens, the Offa's Dyke Path, the Mortimer Trail and the lovely walk to Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the beautiful music of both Elgar and Mike Oldfield! Also within easy reach and well worth a visit is the delightful town of Hay-on-Wye, with its numerous book shops, craft shops and antique shops, and the ancient city of Hereford with its impressive Norman cathedral and famous Mappa Mundi, a 13th Century cartographer's interpretation of the world.
