The small town of Kington, known as the “centre for walking”, is situated near the Welsh Borders in the area known as The Marches. The area is renowned for its lovely scenery and for its excellent walking in the surrounding rolling hills. This quiet, pleasant town has a number of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and a variety of tourist attractions close by including Eastnor Castle, Kingswood Small Breed Farm Park and Owl Centre, Hergest Croft Gardens, the Mortimer Trail and the Offa's Dyke Path, over Bradnor Hill which boasts England’s highest golf course, and Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the beautiful music of both Elgar and Mike Oldfield! Also within easy reach and well worth a visit is the delightful town of Hay-on-Wye with its numerous book shops, craft and antique shops, while the ancient city of Hereford with its impressive Norman cathedral and famous Mappa Mundi, a 13th Century cartographer's interpretation of the world is a great day out. Just 10 minutes walk from the main town amenities, this delightful cottage has been decorated and furnished in a traditional yet modern style, offering a lovely sitting room with exposed beams, original bread oven and woodburning stove and a spacious conservatory providing access to the charming terrace garden. Primrose Cottage is ideally located for walking and cycling with the famous Black & White Village Trail, the scenic Offa's Dyke pathway and the Wye Valley all nearby, whilst Hay-on-Wye and the cathedral city of Hereford are just a short drive away. With the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, Shropshire and Worcestershire all within easy reach, this lovely cottage has plenty to offer at any time of year!
