Originally a drover's rest, this charming cottage near Pembridge is furnished to a high standard, ideal for a family holiday or romantic break in this picturesque part of Herefordshire. This Pembridge cottage boasts two stylish contemporary bedrooms, with the king-size double room offering lovely views to a woodland beyond. This Pembridge cottage also has a delightful open plan living area with door to the pretty rear garden overlooking meadowland, with furniture and BBQ. Outside this Pembridge cottage is a shared hot tub room, ideal for relaxing in the warm water at the end of the day. A further one acre with fire pit can be enjoyed for relaxing, outdoor games or exercising dogs. The medieval village of Pembridge boasts many black and white half-timbered buildings, village pubs, a well-stocked village store and striking market hall.

Leominster 7.5 miles; Hereford 16.1 miles; Hay-on-Wye 20.5 miles.

The bustling medieval village of Pembridge lies on the Black & White Village Trail and boasts many striking 15th and 16th century half-timbered buildings, and has held markets and fairs in the village since the early 1200's. The village has a beautiful 14th century market hall, 3 traditional village pubs, an excellent village store, a cafe and a church with a unique detached bell tower. Close by, the picturesque village of Weobley, once voted one of the top ten places to live in England, has many timber-framed buildings, and excellent facilities including a village shop, local pubs and the renowned Jules restaurant. Hay-on-Wye, the town of books, is within easy reach as are medieval Ludlow, the cathedral city of Hereford with its medieval bridge spanning the River Wye, Mappa Mundi world map and Chained Library. The magnificent Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park also make a great day out. Surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside including Offa's Dyke and the Golden Valley, this is an excellent location for walking and cycling trails as well as sampling wonderful local produce at a local cheese factory, vineyard and cider farms.

The cottage was extremely homely and comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen especially was very well equipped compared to most other places I have stayed before. The owners were very welcoming too, I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to friends and family.
