The Property

A pretty, semi-detached cottage in the peaceful hamlet of Yafford, at the southern end of the Isle of Wight. This Yafford holiday cottage has been sympathetically converted from a charming, 18th century stone barn, set beside an attractive large pond, in the grounds of the owner's farmhouse, in a rural setting only a mile from the sea. This Yafford cottage offers original character, including stone walls, exposed beams and trusses, and wooden floors throughout. The area has a great choice of lovely walks, and the Round-the-Island cycle route is also close by. The beach at Atherfield is a mile away from this Yafford cottage, and the picturesque village of Brighstone is only 2 miles. Within a short drive is Blackgang Chine, whilst the beaches of Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown are all easily accessible. A great Yafford cottage, and a super, rural holiday base. Note: This Yafford cottage can be booked with Ref. 3811 to accommodate up to 8.

The whole experience was magical. The location was peaceful, and the building had the wow factor. The owners were always very friendly and helpful. There was useful and interesting information on the location on the bookshelves. Everything we needed and more was at hand. Over 7 days we had no trouble finding different wonderful walking locations every day. There was a good small store in Chale Green (5 miles) with a friendly surprise cafe and garden at the rear. The nearer village stores were not visited. There were too many more good points to fit here.

Mr Seabrook, Christchurch, November 2013

Very pleasing reception. Concern and respect of our requirements shown at all times. Well secured back garden for use of pet dog.

Mr Walters, Chichester, November 2013

The cottage was very clean and well presented. It was very quiet and private with a good secure, enclosed garden, ideal for those with a dog or children. It was warm and quite cosy.

Mrs Lyon, Sleaford, October 2013
