A unique, quirky 400 year old detached cottage in the centre of the picturesque village of Godshill, on the lovely Isle of Wight. One of the oldest properties in the village, the cottage's authentic, characterful interior is like taking a step back in time, with a wealth of beams, flagstone floors, exposed stone walls, a decorative inglenook fireplace and a cosy Aga in the kitchen. The twisting cottage stairs lead up to three double bedrooms, and there's a glazed garden room leading to the enclosed courtyard garden. A few steps from the cottage are a super array of local gift shops, tearooms and a pub, and just a short drive away are the attractive seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor, renowned for their excellent sandy beaches, whilst the rest of the island's numerous and varied attractions, including Carisbrooke Castle and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, are all easily accessible. A great base from which to explore this wonderful island.
