The Property

This lovingly presented Victorian cottage is nestled in the heart of the quintessentially English, Victorian holiday destination of Niton on the Isle of Wight. Thoughtfully appointed throughout to provide light, spacious and comfortable accommodation, this Niton cottage is perfect for families and friends looking to spend some quality time together on the stunningly-dramatic south coast of the Isle of Wight. Set over two floors, you will find lovely views of Ventnor Downs from two of the bedrooms, while downstairs you will find a kitchen with dining area with a door leading to the outside patio area. There are two sitting rooms divided by the open tread staircase, perfect for the whole family to relax in, whether you need a quiet spot to read in, or a space for a lively family gathering to plan your next day’s activities. Outside of this Niton cottage you will find an enclosed front garden, with a bench and a small fish pond, while at the rear you have an enclosed patio garden with table, chairs and steamer loungers, ideal for alfresco dining at any time of the day. The charming village of Niton offers many attractions, with two pubs serving food, several churches, a pottery workshop, pharmacy and three local shops. Niton and Puckaster, located close to the Undercliff, was a small fishing hamlet until the 19th century and you will still see locals today braving the powerful waters of this rocky south side of the island. Explore around St Catherine’s Lighthouse to Rocken End and experience the most wild and beautiful scenery the island has to offer. A short drive along the coast road will bring you to Ventnor, why not discover the breathtaking Botanic Gardens, which nestle in the microclimate of The Undercliff? Visitors can peruse the exotic plant collections, which would normally be found in glasshouses elsewhere in the UK, thriving happily here. This is the perfect Niton cottage for your holiday in the Isle of Wight at any time of the year.

The cottage was an excellent place to relax, the surroundings were good, and it was a lovely place to stay.

Mrs Brown, Swindon, August 2013

Very comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Pub restaurant just a few doors away, friendly and good food, not too far to Ventnor and other resorts, pretty countryside, alternative restaurant nearby which was very good.

Mrs Harrison, Edinburgh, August 2013

A very nice spacious cottage that is in a good location for a family holiday
