Guest Reviews

    • “Sycamores Barn is on the outskirts of the lovely village of Brighstone. It's so quiet, you only hear the birds. Just half a mile from the beach down a footpath, it was the ideal base for our needs. The beds were comfortable, and the lounge was great. There are a couple of well stocked shops in the village, and good food at local pubs. We went to the local church on Sunday and found it very welcoming and friendly. We will go back!”

    • “Very friendly welcome and plenty of information regarding many places to visit. A very central location on the island within walking distance of the beach. Very quiet and peaceful.”

    • “We were made very welcome by the owner, it was in a lovely setting with a great view.”

A charming, picturesque village, Brighstone is situated in the South West of the Isle of Wight, and is well known for its terrace of chalk cottages with their neatly trimmed thatched roofs, and is well served by a local shop, Post Office, tea rooms and a pub. A visit to the local museum gives a fascinating insight into village heritage, where smuggling was once a flourishing occupation!
