    • “Lovely cottage”

    • “Stayed here for a weeks holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage was well equipped and had all we needed apart from a lrge cheese grater that can be quickly and easily sorted out.. It was all well decorated and to a high standard. All was very clean and tidy as well. Location was good as well just behind the main road on a quiet street . People mentioned the digital front door lock but once you have used it once it was no problem at all. If we come back to the area we will most certainly stop here again.”

    • “We stayed for a week over Christmas to catch up with family and friends. We were really impressed by how comfortable, cosy and well equipped the cottage was. Everything was fitted out to a really high standard. I loved the kitchen which came with everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail is outstanding. I could have happily moved in and stayed permanently. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. It was lovely to curl up in front of the fire in the evening. Wifi worked perfectly - something we have had issues with elsewhere. The location is excellent - close to the seafront with shops/takeaways/pubs, and only a short walk in to town. We will definitely be back.”

    • “When we arrived at the cottage the owner was there, he showed us how to use the door lock, and gave us local information. We did notice in the visitors book some people said they had had problems with the door lock, but we found it straight forward. Brilliant cottage, beautifully decorated with everything you could need for your holiday stay. Ideally situated for shops, restaurants etc, nice walk into Deal with more pubs and restaurants. We liked everything about the cottage and location, would not hesitate to return.”

    • “The cottage is immaculate, cosy and comfortable with everything one could need; including beach towels and umbrellas! There are plenty of places to walk nearby, so the dog was happy. Lots of places to visit.”

    Mrs Howell, Bromley, March 2014

    • “The cottage was wonderful and exceeded all our expectations. It was really cosy and provided all the comfort and equipment we needed to have a happy family Christmas. The location is excellent; a short walk to the seafront and plenty of shops/cafes/pubs. We hope to come back again in the summer.”

    Mrs Burnett, Nossegem, December 2013

    • “It was a very comfortable cottage, furnished with care to a very high standard.”

    Ms Seymenliyska, London, December 2013

    • “The cottage was probably one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Just because you have a dog many holiday cottage owners do not furnish their cottages/houses nicely or do not allow dogs.. It was therefore really nice that this cottage was furnished so comfortably.”

    Mrs Dabbs, Southwold, December 2013

About the location

Dover 8.5 miles; Canterbury 24 miles.

Deal is an historic, Georgian coastal town boasting two castles, both open to the public, two small museums, and two markets held weekly. The town offers restaurants with cuisine ranging from the traditional, to exotic delicacies from the Orient, but, if fish is your desire then why not catch your own by enjoying a spot of fishing from the beach or pier? Deal Castle is an ideal place for children to explore, rugged and exciting with audio guides to help you get the best information, whilst taking in this impressive castle built in the time of Henry VIII. Walmer Castle, which became the home of The Duke of Wellington, and was the late Queen Mother's favourite, is just along the coast with gardens and tea rooms open from April until October, and their scones are highly recommended! Deal was the most important Naval base in Britain during the Age of Sail and although long gone, its maritime heritage is still inherent in its Conversation Area architecture and house names. Deal became a smuggler's paradise during the 1700s, and heritage street maps show where rum and brandy were rolled by casket avoiding the Excise men. Why not take the cycle path from Deal to Kingsdown, a pretty Kent village with views across to France? Here you can rest and recuperate in one of the three pubs all serving excellent food. If golf is your game then there are 12 courses within a 30 minute journey, but Royal Cinque Ports, Royal St. Georges and Kingsdown are within an easy distance. For sheer imposing magnificence nearby Dover Castle is an absolute must visit on any visitor's list. Spectacularly situated above the White Cliffs of Dover, this magnificent castle has guarded our shores from invasion for 20 centuries. Deal won the Daily Telegraph's ‘High Street of the Year’ award in January, and was voted as the number 1 coastal town in Britain by them in November, 2014. Also named as one of the ‘top 30 weekend retreats’ in March 2014 by The Times, Deal is the perfect location for families and friends looking to pursue outdoor activities or laze on the beach enjoying the sea air. Stroll along the cobbled streets, sit and relax outside a bistro or tea room with a coffee, or just gaze out to sea; Deal has something for everyone!
