Guston is the quintessential English village set in Kent countryside. Quiet and rural this makes for an ideal choice when looking for a well-placed base from where you can start exploring dozens of exciting places dotted around this part of Kent. The village pub, The Chance Inn is open all day and serves a varied selection of bar food and an excellent range of draught beers which can be enjoyed while playing skittles or enjoying the putting green. There is also a large beer garden and even a 9 hole putting green. Guston is positioned on the North Downs Way for walkers and the Skylark Trail for cyclists. Set between the historic towns of Dover and Deal, you can visit the castles at both which are popular visitor attractions. Just along the coast from Dover is the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne. Free to enter on foot, the National Memorial to the Few is a peaceful place, ideal for quiet reflection, atop the famous White Cliffs which are now part of the National Trust.
