  • "At turning up at the property we were slightly disappointed at the view as in we were located next to a large shed, and opposite was a property with an old truck to look at ,so not really very nice to enjoy a drink outside."

Accommodation was very clean just a couple of snags with wobbly toilet seat and shower was very small with the shower head not staying in the holder. The owner put a new seat on but unfortunately it didnt solve the problem. Overall had a nice stay the view behind us was beautiful, just too remote for us though.

All good but a dustpan and brush and potato peeler would have made life easier Great accommodation for this time of year , warm , clean and comfortable When weather warmer and want to sit out might be a bit disappointed in position and view Would definitely return

  • "Nice little place and good value for money."

Very comfy accommodation. Couple of little jiggly things that might help future customers. Toilet seat it very poor and hanging off. Shower head doesn’t fit in the holder and falls out. One last thing was the amount of flies in the lodge. I understand the situation in the countryside but the flies in the lodge was excessive. I spent most of the time hunting them down as they where very annoying. Maybe a tin of flu spray or them sticky dangly things would be very useful. Apart from them few little things overall it was great. Would definitely return. Thanks.

  • "Upon arrival we looked around and were pretty happy with the place, nice rooms and clean, until we realised we couldn't find any information on how to use the facilities and no password for the wifi We looked online and at our emails for any help, however found nothing."

The contact number online and from sykes wasn't that of the actual owner, it was the cleaners. The owners wouldn't dial through. I wandered around the place trying to find someone to help. Found the cleaner of who looked pretty clueless. She said with a shrug "is there not a guest book?" Of which there wasn't. After searching high and low for a guest book, we found a tiny scrap piece of paper underneath the sofa with a scribble of a wifi password and that was it. During our stay we also found a wasps nest above our front door which prevented us from opening our front door and window during our stay. We couldn't sit out tide due to thus as there was loads coming and going. We sourced some fly and wasp killer and tried to deal with this ourselves. When complained we were told someone would be out to fix this issue yet we heard nothing back. Considering the price paid for a 3 night stay, not best pleased with lack of info, contact and assistance.
