The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the north of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema and great fishing opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Cat Bells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around the lake. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks, the Theatre by the Lake, and the nearby Trotters' World of Animals this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.

Keswick 3.5 miles. A very comfortable end-of-terrace cottage situated in a lovely location about half a mile from the small village of Threlkeld. The terrace is in a splendid elevated position and enjoys spectacular panoramic views of Blencathra and the surrounding fells. The simple but spacious accommodation is well equipped and warm. It is ideally placed for walkers, and Keswick, with all its amenities, is only a short drive away. Golf, fishing and riding are all available locally.
Two bedrooms: 1 x large double with 1 x double futon and superb views (child’s cot bed - 5ft long, also available), 1 x small double with good views. Three piece bathroom with electric shower over bath. Modern kitchen. Dining room. Spacious, comfortable sitting room with magnificent fell views and woodburning stove.
Electric heating from night storage heaters, additional heating from woodburning stove. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, colour TV, DVD player.
