    “Good accommodation, handy for town ...”
    Good accommodation, handy for town centre. 2 sets of keys would be useful. Parking not easy but we knew that. Warm and comfy house.

The property

A superb, stone-built Victorian terraced townhouse, near the heart of Keswick in the beautiful Lake District.

With spacious accommodation over three floors, and character features including a pretty stained glass door, this charming property provides an excellent getaway, perfect for families or friends wishing to enjoy the spectacular surroundings whilst having a rich selection of amenities all within a short stroll.

A first floor sitting room enjoys fine views across the neighbouring rooftops to the fells beyond, and comes with a cosy open fire and comfortable sofas to snuggle down into, perfect after a day exploring the surrounding scenery.

On the ground floor is a separate snug with woodburning stove, and the sofa converts into a double bed to offer additional accommodation, whilst the elegant dining room provides a wonderful place for gathering together to discuss your plans.

Four superb bedrooms, two bathrooms and two handy cloakrooms sit across the first and second floors; whilst outside, the rear terraced area is a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the fresh Cumbrian air.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the north of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Cat Bells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.
