  • "Absolutely fabulous place to stay and great location."

Everything you need (and more) was provided, some nice little extra touches! Would certainly recommend.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We visited Keswick on holiday for many years and now live here so we are able to keep an eye on and care for the apartment. We hope you will be able to viva again soon. Anna and Steve Property Owner

I'm sorry you found the towels did not dry you as expected. We bought them from a well known hotel supplier which was rather expensive but had great reviews for the product. We try hard to provide a quality experience with the facilities at The Old Mill. We hope you enjoyed the other aspects of your stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We were there during flaming June, nice to have the balcony doors open in the evening. everything we needed.

We are pleased you enjoyed your 3 week stay. Certainly it coincided with a heat wave! We love the Juliet balcony and the outdoor/ indoor feel it gives. Hope your return to Keswick soon. Anna and Steve Property Owner

  • "Very nice single bedroom apartment in a great location."

Kitchen was well equipped although the fridge may not be that efficient (difficult to get the temperature down and the milk kept going off). The low beams might be a little inconvenient for a tall person but you get used to it fairly quickly. Supermarkets, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Great location for easy walks around the lakes but also easy access to the high fells by bus or ferry. Would definitely use this property again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the property and the accessibility aspects. We do hope we can welcome you back. Owner Relations Expert Thanks for leaving feedback- we have checked the fridge and found it to be on the lowest setting- we have adjusted it and rechecked it twice and it is now working fine. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Super location on the edge of town, literally 2 minutes into the centre and 5 minutes from the lake. Car parking was a 5 minute walk and very convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much and would book this accommodation again without hesitation when we are in Keswick again

Thank you for the feedback. we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back! Anna and Steve Property Owner

The kitchen is well appointed with the utensils and pans s should you choose to cook meals . This property is an ideal base for walks either locally or in the wider area as Keswick has good bus routes to the surrounding areas

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback. We are pleased you found the car park handy - we arrange free parking for all our guests and it takes the hassle out of finding a space on the street. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you return to Keswick soon. Property Owner

  • "The stairs should have been listed in the description and the heating was difficult to operate."

Dining room heater knob also broken.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are sorry if you were surprised by the stairs - they are listed in the description of the property, which is noted as being a second floor apartment with a staircase leading from the ground level. The property is in the Conservation area of Keswick and therefore there is no gas supply available. When the property was fully modernised, Dimplex electric storage heaters were installed. Instructions for these are in the handbook in the flat. It can take some getting used to, if you are accustomed to gas/oil heating. There is also a modern, stove effect electric fire in the open plan lounge/ main living area to give instant heat if needed. There is an independently heated towel rail/radiator in the bathroom, which guests can turn off if they are too warm and in the bedroom, there is a wall mounted radiator which also has an instant heat boost facility. This year has been challenging, as sometimes the flat has been too warm with outdoor temperatures of 16 degrees in November! This winter we will be reviewing the heating system, with the intention of installing a less energy greedy, easier for guests to control system. We hope you enjoyed your stay in beautiful Keswick. • "The flat is accessed by a rather steep 23 step staircase."

This should be mentioned in the listings so ageing or infirm renters are not presented with a problem or be unable to access the property.. The flat is very clean airy and well supplied with the necessary equipment. The parking permit is a great asset.

It is a lovely apartment: bright, airy and in a great location - so central. The accommodation was spotless and extra touches such as fresh flowers on the dining table and vibrant plants on the balcony provide a warm and welcoming vibe. With a cinema on our doorstep, we nipped out to watch a film before dinner with no travel hassles - so convenient. We were prepared to take our rubbish away since designated bin(s) were not obvious. This didn’t prove to be necessary. Communication was good and we always received a speedy response. Just wished we’d stayed longer but we will return! Many thanks for a very pleasant experience. Geraldine and Phil.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We live in Keswick and love that the cinema, theatre and restaurants are so easy to walk to. We hope you will be able to return soon. with best wishes Anna and Steve Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was first class and extremely well presented with great facilities and location."

The only negatives were that the plug in the sink would not seal therefore my husband found it difficult to shave. Also, although we knew the cottage was on the second floor, there was no warning of the extremely steep , continuous stairs My husband has arthritis and struggled with the steepness. A warning would have been good.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I am pleased you liked the location and facilities of the apartment. We have now adjusted the stiff lever control for the plug in the bathroom basin. I was sorry to hear your husband struggled with the stairs. There are 20 carpeted stairs with a handrail installed . I will ask the agent to adjust the property details to specifically mention the stairs. with best wishes Anna Thomson Property Owner

Fantastic little hideaway in a perfect location so much so that we only used the car when we visited the other lakes and moungain passes, derwent water was so easy to get to from the flat and everything in keswick with in such a short walk, lovely cute cinema and lovely theatre so close as well, property was very clean and comfy, smart TV was a lovely touch, arranged parking was perfect, and everything we needed for cooking and eating there already Only 2 gripes was trying to find the bin, as couldn't find one labeled the old mill so think I may of ended up using a neighbours bin

We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. There are many great places to visit within walking distance of the apartment. We love the Alhambra Cinema too. Don't worry about the bin- I am waiting for the council to deliver a new small wheelie bin just for our property, but they have to do a health and safety inspection first as they will need to collect it from behind the property to avoid possible obstruction on the pavement ! As soon as it arrives I will proudly label it The Old Mill. Property Owner
