Location: Little Langdale

Ambleside 5 miles.

The small hamlet of Little Langdale quietly sits in a scenic valley and consists of a scattering of houses and a local pub. The area is separated by the Lingmoor Fells from Great Langdale and is accessed via a twisting road which runs alongside the Brathay River, eventually passing by Blea Tarn and heading to the Wrynose pass, following the path of an ancient Roman road. The landscape is magnificent with many regarding the area as the most beautiful in the British Isles, if not indeed the whole of Europe, inspiring many great poets over the years including William Wordsworth, known for his love of the area. With Ambleside and the whole of the National Park within easy reach, this magical location is not to be missed!

The views and setting were amazing.
Mrs Radmore, Truro, October 2011

Loved the character and location of the cottage and we all enjoyed the wood burning stove in the evenings. We were able to go on walks from the cottage, and Ambleside and the villages in the Langdales were easily accessible.
Mrs Willing, Ellon, October 2010

Location - absolutely perfect. Owners more than helpful. Very cosy cottage and ideal location for walking.
Mr Baker, Cranleigh, September 2010

This is a lovely property to take you back in time - excellent if you like historic things, with 'Ting Mound' just a few yards away and Roman ruins close by, plus beautiful views on the walk to Blea Tarn. Best of all there is NO mobile signal so making for a peaceful holiday - Perfect!
