    • “We stayed here for 3 nights with 3 of our Grandchildren just before Christmas. We can't reccomend this apartment highly enough. What can we say, spacious, warm, welcoming and convienant, meeting all our needs. From watching the weather changing over the mountains, train spotting and people watching. We will come again. Thank you Peter and Margaret.”

    • “Fantastic apartment, great location !”

    • “We stayed here for a week (5th - 12th September) with our son, daughter in law and four grandchilren aged 10, 7, 6 and 2 years old. The accommodation is exceptional and everything has been thought out for comfort and convenience. The whole place is decorated to a high standard and the fixtures and fittings are of the best quality. The views from the front windows are amazing, overlooking the Kent Estuary (binoculars are provided !) You will find everything you need within the apartment and Arnside has a good Londis/post office down below, lovley fish and chip shop (queues are massive but worth the wait) lovely shops and cafes, two pubs, we preferred the Albion and parking for Mountain View is easy in the street outside. We left some clothes behind and Mr Baines is parcelling them up and sending them back ! we don't know how that happened but with four active kids we must have been distracted. All in all we wholeheartedly recommend Mountain View and hope one day to return (if they'll have us !)”

    • “Perfect for a family holiday”

    • “We have just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful apartment in Arnside. Everything we could possibly have needed was provided with the apartment, plus extras such as wine, chocolates for the children, tea, biscuits, butter, milk etc. This was an incredibly thoughtful touch, over and above our expectations, and what we have received at other good quality holiday rentals. The view from the apartment was superb and enjoyed by young and old alike, from our train obsessed nearly 2 year old who loved watching the trains, to his grandparents and ourselves who were bowled over by the constantly changing views of the estuary. This is a beautiful apartment in a fabulous location with owners who go out of their way to provide you with information and supplies to help you enjoy your holiday, rather than bombarding visitors with a list of rules. This ensured we & hopefully others, will do their utmost to keep the flat in its current beautiful condition and we look forward to a return visit.”

    • “Fabulous location, fabulous accommodation”

    • “Had a great stay last week. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need. Really helpful and friendly owners who go the extra mile to make sure all is OK. The views out over the bay are wonderful. I took books to read but spent all my time sat in the bay window looking out over the bay. Great location, there are lots of walks in the area (maps and guide books available in the apartment) and it is easy access to the south lakes, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve etc. It is only about 20 minutes from the M6. Great information on pack on things to do. At the time of writing there are no restaurants in Arnside but there are 2 pubs which do food and a very handy chippy a couple of doors down. You are also close to a well stocked Londis if you don't want to go far. The kitchen has all you need to cook meals in and a table for 4 which is good for breakfast. There are tearooms which are open during the day. It is very spacious and would easily cater for 6 adults and a couple of children sharing the big room with their parents. There were only 2 of us but we felt comfortable staying there. We really didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. We'd love to stay again. There are quite a few stairs as it is located on the first and second floor and you would need to keep an eye on any little ones running around. Not a problem for us. Absolutely loved it.”

    • “Mountain View has to one of the best holiday accommodation rentals we have ever stopped at in this country. Just a few mile from the motorway and ideally situated for the Lakes & the Yorkshire Dales. The apartment is beautifully presented, & well equipped & extremely comfortable, with ample space for our party of 6 adults. The only thing that may put some less able bodied people off are the stairs. Though not a problem for us. We all took books to read, but found ourselves constantly looking out of the large bay window, at the amazing views of the Kent estuary and mountains beyond. The sunsets are astounding & must be seen to be believed. Arnside has a few shops, with a Co-op next door. There are two pubs close by which serve food, although The albion is definitely the best. We made use of the railway station which is just around the corner. Ideal if you want a day off driving. There is so much to do around here. We cannot wait to return this area & the apartment. A word of warning though. Don't be tempted to walk on the the sand when the tide goes out. This is due to quick sand. The tide also turns very quickly and sirens send out warnings about 10 minutes before this happens.”

    • “This is such a beautiful apartment and was perfect for our week away. It was spacious and airy, with wonderful views over the Estuary and train bridge. We never tired of sitting on the window seat and watching life pass by. I am a townie and really appreciated the little cafes, pubs, post office, chip shop and train station nearby. The key safe was so useful as a variety of friends and family came and went over the week. We hope to find another excuse to book again soon!”

    • “Absolutely brilliant venue, spacious, well decorated and furnished. Sorry to leave the view from the living room, but well worth getting out to explore the fantastic network of footpaths across the beautiful hills, meadows and woods, all with incredible panoramas across Morecambe Bay. The rail station 2 minutes walk away but we didn't need to leave Arnside with its pubs, chippie, bakery and shops providing everything that was needed.”
