The small hamlet of Mickleton is situated in the heart of beautiful Teesdale, close to the villages of Romaldkirk and Middleton in Teesdale and within a few miles of the market town of Barnard Castle. Mickleton itself consists of a cluster of stone houses along a single street and offers two pubs. Beautiful walking country is right on the doorstep with The Pennine and Teesdale Ways, The River Tees and magnificent waterfalls at High Force all close by.

Mickleton 0.5 miles. An immaculate Grade II listed, stone-built cottage, skilfully modernised to offer superb holiday accommodation. Furnished, equipped and decorated to a very high standard. The owners live in the nearby farmhouse and personally welcome visitors. The cottage is surrounded by spectacular Teesdale countryside and makes a magnificent base for exploring this unspoilt part of the Dales. The pretty village of Mickleton is only 10 minutes’ walk away. Note: Westfield Cottage adjoins Ref. 1132 Garden Cottage and the properties can be booked together to accommodate a group of up to 9.
Three bedrooms: 1 x double with basin, 1 x twin, 1 x twin (2ft 6’ beds, limited hanging space and low ceiling - suitable for children). Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Modern, well-equipped dining kitchen. Spacious sitting room with electric fire.

Absolutely fab cottage, warm and cosy with plenty of space for the five of us. Great views from the track and very quiet. Perfect spot for walking. Lovely local pubs. Helpful hosts too. The stars would have been amazing if the clouds had behaved!
