The small hamlet of Mickleton is situated in the heart of beautiful Teesdale, close to the villages of Romaldkirk and Middleton in Teesdale and within a few miles of the market town of Barnard Castle. Mickleton itself consists of a cluster of stone houses along a single street and offers two pubs. Beautiful walking country is right on the doorstep with The Pennine and Teesdale Ways, The River Tees and magnificent waterfalls at High Force all close by.

Mickleton 0.5 miles. An immaculate Grade II listed stone built cottage recently skilfully modernised to offer superb holiday accommodation. Furnished, equipped and decorated to a very high standard. The owners live in the nearby farmhouse and personally welcome visitors. The cottage is surrounded by spectacular Teesdale Countryside and makes a magnificent base for exploring this unspoilt part of the Dales. The pretty village of Mickleton is only 10 minutes walk away. Note: Westfield Cottage adjoins ref. 1132 Garden Cottage and the properties can be booked together to accommodate a group of up to 9.
Three bedrooms: 1 x double with handbasin, 1 x twin, 1 x twin (2ft 6’ beds, limited hanging space and low ceiling - suitable for children). House bathroom with shower over bath, washbasin and WC. Modern well equipped dining kitchen. Spacious sitting room with electric fire.

Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, table top freezer, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, colour TV with Freeview, CD player/radio. All fuel and power inc. in rent. The cottage was comfortable and clean and tidy. The owners were welcoming and friendly. There was ample information provided by way of leaflets as to local tourist information and it is a lovely part of the country with so much to do we weren't able to do it all! The owners very kindly brought round a 1/2 dozen fresh eggs which were lovely and my husband got a bit of fishing in.

The enclosed garden area was excellent for pets and children. Westfield Cottage is in a very peaceful location with no interference from the owners, unless we wanted help.
