  • "This is brilliantly situated flat a short walk to the town."

The parking and garage make it super handy. The flat is wonderfully well equipped with everything you need including spare Tupperware and extra towels if you need them. It had everything our family needed and was well laid out. The only feedback I’d give was that the heating was set and couldn’t be altered, even when we called the agents. We opened the windows as advised and that did help a little, but this place would be 5 stars if we weren’t quite so warm - especially when you wake up.

Ideal location for hiking or cycling. Big garage to safely secure cars and bikes Bed mattress wasn't the best and I am hoping they have memory foam toppers next time I visit Can recommend this property definitely worth a visit :)

  • "Garage key location stayed as kitchen cupboard, which cupboard, change to say cleaning cupboard."

We have been staying in holiday let's for 10 years and at least twice a year this is the very first only where there was no welcome pack. I.e coffee, tea, sugar, milk, cooking oils etc. As what should have taken us around 8 hrs to get there we got seriously delayed and took 12 hrs arrived at 8.45pm, on motor bikes had to go straight out and get essential, where if a welcome pack was present we could have survived until the next day as we have breakfast cereals with us. Nice flat, location with nice views from lounge.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the views and location that the property had to offer. We are sorry that you were disappointed with there being no welcome pack upon arrival. Unfortunately with it being a self catering property, not all owners do provide this. We apologise for any inconvenience that this did cause for you. The owner relations team - Lakelovers Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Bow Peak."

Its in a great location, walking distance to Lake windmere and lots of bars and resturants, as well as exploring other places in the lake district. The apartment was very clean, modern and had very good facilities. Just a few small things- the washing up liquid and soap had been watered down so much we couldn't clean things properly, there was only one toilet roll and one of the bed sheets had a large coffee stain. Despite this we had a great stay and would recommend to others.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you had a problem with the bed linen, if you had called the office we would have arranged new linen for you. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and all the area has to offer. Thank you for the recommendation. Owner Relations Expert Property Owner

  • "Our check out time was 10am but the cleaners came at 9."

25 whilst we were finishing our breakfast and we felt rushed to get everything packed and out the door. We had lots of bags and told the cleaners to wait outside and not to go up until we've taken everything into the car but they went up anyway with half our stuff still in the flat. Felt very uneasy with 3 strangers walking around the flat with the rest of our stuff still in there.

Thank you for rating Bow Peak 100/100 even though you felt rushed when leaving. Apologies for this, I have contacted Lakelovers and was assured that the cleaners will not attend the property until after 10am in the future. Property Owner

The parking availability and access to a garage was an added bonus. The kitchen was fully provisioned with all new equipment which was great and we were not missing anything that we needed for our stay. A great break had by ourselves and our two children.

The property is in a great location, 5 mins walk from all the shops and restaurants in Bowness. The property is also very well equipped with parking inside and in front of the garage, a big lounge and all the equipment you could need in the kitchen. The bedrooms are a little on the smaller side.

Well presented and had everything (and more) you needed. Very clean and modern. Will definitely stay again. One thing, the parking was big enough for our Mazda SUV as long as you pulled right up to the garage.

  • "This is a superb and very well-equipped apartment, which was spotlessly clean on arrival."

It is ideally placed on a quiet road which is very convenient for the bustling centre of Bowness. It is a short walk to lots of restaurants and to the jetty from where the boat trips across the lake depart.

  • "Even though we had a garage,on arrival there was a van parked across the drive so unable to park."

Then during our stay it happened again whilst we were out. So again struggled to park near property.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback after your recent stay at Bow Peak. We are sorry to hear a van was parked in the front of the garage upon arrival. I believe it was a courier van which was delivering to one of the surrounding properties which leave in good time of arrival. They would have been happy to move it if you needed it too. We hope you otherwise had a lovely week. Kind Regards Property Owner

  • "We were very impressed by the property."

It was clean and spacious for the 4 of us living there for a week. We loved the fact that it all looked brand new, the kitchen units and appliances looked new and the bathroom was a very pleasant surprise as it looked as though it had just been renovated. We only used our car once to drive to another area and took the boats to other areas around Windermere Lake. The garage was big enough for 2 cars, but if you have a wide car, it will be a tight squeeze at the sides. Our car was a Yaris Toyota and easily fitted on the front forecourt without spilling over into the pavement. Bowness on Windermere was about a 10 minute walk down a hill and all the shops were local. The area was buzzy and lively with plenty of restaurants and bars. We particularly liked Porto's in Bowness. All in all, we loved the area and the accommodation.

  • "Bow Peak is a good sized 2 bedroom 1st floor apartment with plenty of space for the four of us (2 adults, 2 children under 12)."

The kids loved the twin room and the double bedroom was a decent size with wardrobe space. The kitchen was excellent with everything we needed, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, oven, very clean and modern. The bathroom was again clean and modern with a lovely walk in shower, great after a long day of hiking. Lounge was a good size and had a dinner table which was perfect for meals and playing board games. The space in front of the garage was ok, but not quite comfortable enough for our car (Hyundai Santa Fe), we had to park it as close to the garage door to avoid jutting into the pavement too much. Location was excellent for us, walkable to Bowness and the boats, and to Windermere, and driveable to all the other things we did (Helvellyn, Coniston, Ullswater). Possibly the only (very small) down sides were there was no drawer space in the main bedroom, just hanging space; the rainfall shower head was a bit drippy but the other one was perfect; and the stairs up to the apartment may not be great for anyone with difficulties, definitely not suitable for wheelchair users. Otherwise this is a perfectly sized apartment for a family of 3 or 4 in a great location to explore the southern Lake District, and we had great weather which made it one of the best holidays we've ever had.
