  • "Lovely location and a well presented house."

Would definitely recommend this place and I will 100% be returning at some point. Thoroughly enjoyed.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Green View Cottage."

Everything was immaculate and the cottage is excellently fitted out with everything you need. We only had 1 small issue, with a leaking kettle, and this was replaced without fuss. You can't ask for more with the help offered by the owner. We won't hesitate to recommend Green View and wouldn't think twice about booking again. For dog owners the Green opposite the cottage is a great space for exercising your 4 legged friend. 10/10.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Green View."

The house is perfect and has everything needed for a nice holiday stay. It was presented very clean & in perfect order. A very modern and beautiful property. We have stayed at many holiday properties overt the years, and never found phone chargers anywhere, but owners of Green View are very thoughtful & provided it, which was a very pleasant surprise. Only couple of things to mention, the outside sensor light is not working, so its a but of an issue after dark. The other thing would be to have some more hangers, especially to hang trousers/jeans etc. Would definitely recommend this property to our friends & family. Thank you

  • "A lovely well appointed cottage in a quiet rural area away from the hubbub of the main attractions in the national park but still within very easy reach of them all."

Cottage is well equipped, was spotlessly clean with lovely decorative touches displayed. The shower was amazing in a very stylish bathroom. Everyone prefers their own bed so we found the mattress a little uncomfortable but it was still ok. The house overlooked a green area ideal for exercising our dog which was a bonus. If you like peace and quiet we would definitely recommend a stay at Green View. Fish and chips in Greenodd were delicious!

Beds comfortable & powerful walk-in shower . The field opposite was a bonus for our dog, surprised you don't show a photo of the field.

  • "Green View is a very well equipped property, nicely laid out, very well appointed with excellent off road parking."

It is light and airy with great access into the rear paved area. It’s situated in a fantastic area with easy access to the main routes. The village is beautiful with great views, and an excellent village green for walking my dog. The whole place flowed really well, you should be proud of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

  • "The property was lovely and well presented but I felt it was a bit isolated."

Although the cottage looked clean it was the little things that let it down re dirty windows and glass doors along with mud splashes on the skirting boards in kitchen. When we arrived we had to retune the tv’s in and there was no ironing board to use (the iron was there). Overall we had a lovely stay.

Thank-you Jacqueline for your lovely feedback, sorry the place felt isolated, within the description it does try to explain its not in the heart of a city. Apologies for the missing ironing board (again) as per discussion with your partner when you contacted us during your stay Look forwards to seeing you again and so glad you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and well presented."

We had a fab time even on a cold wet Febuary weekend and loved the open fire and large bath tub after wet walks. The cottage is a great base to explore the lakes and is away from the busier tourist areas but also with in a short drive to visit if you want to. The pub was a little further than we though and down a busy road with no foot path so we decided to drive, the Royal Oak was very friendly and even had a treat for the dog. Also the village of penny Bridge is well worth a visit with some cute little shops, butcher, bakery and fish and chip shop. We had a very lovely stay.

  • "We had a lovely time thanks again for letting us stay."

I think the extractor in the down stairs loo stopped working. We will definately come back again as this house is home from home and my dog midge settles really quickly. We took some wood out of the hut as the baskets inside were empty. We bought more kindling.

  • "Fantastic property in a lovely location."

King size double bed is very comfortable, as is the whole house. Shower is amazing too, and lovely welcome basket too. Would recommend taking a slow drove up the east side of Coniston, especially in the autumn. Only suggestions re. house would be to have a hoover available to help in cleaning before departure and some small bins in upstairs bedrooms/bathrooms.

Neighbours both sides are warm and friendly with good advice on the local area. The house is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent as it is away from the crowds but only a short drive to Coniston Water - we found a couple of quieter spots by the Lake. The town of Coniston is 20m drive. We recomend shopping in Ulverston where there are new big stores Aldi and M&S.

A wondeful peaceful location, comfy bedrooms and an amazing bathroom. Showers will never be the same again! Very cosy and warm with a lovely log burner and fantastic to be able to access netflix and prime. Our little lad enjoyed seeing lambs and chickens in the field next door. Very handy location for Coniston and the Old Man as well as Newby Bridge (must try dinner at the Swan) and Windermere.
