The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere, the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Set amidst the southern lakes, this attractive town makes a superb base from which to enjoy the whole of this magical area.

The area and views. Windermere steam train and boat trip. The house was superb in quality and absolutely spotless clean.

The whole holiday was perfect! I could not fault anything with the property. It was exactly as advertised on your site. Excellent and would use again!
Mr Price, St. Helens, March 2012
This property is a credit to its owner, tastefully decorated just like 'home from home', ideal for touring the southern lakes but still good road contacts to the motorway. Grange-over-Sands is not to busy and with its walks along the front it made an ideal late break. We will book this property again if available next year.
Mr Roberts, Mold, October 2011
The cottage was of an exceptional standard. Everything was provided to make your holiday memorable. It was lovely to watch the sea coming in on the bay from the kitchen and lounge window. Our son was most impressed with the wifi and size of the TV in the cottage.
