  • "Lovely apartment, spacious, excellent kitchen/living room area and lovely comfy beds."

Super clean and modern. Fantastic communication from host.

  • "My second stay in these apartments."

Beautiful apartment, very nicely furnished, comfortable beds and well-equipped with great views of the fells. Good parking, easy to access. Have to confess I was a little disappointed with a couple of things when comparing to my stays in other premium properties - cleanliness (kitchen surface sticky, biscuit crumbs on chairs, bathroom entrance), no toiletries, only hand gel and no hand wash in the bathroom; and welcome basket (4 sachets of instant coffee, 4 tea bags, no milk). But these didn't detract from my stay which I very much enjoyed.

  • "Absolutely stunning property, everything you could wish for."

Beds extremely comfortable, wonderful shower, plenty of hot water, spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome hamper which was greatly appreciated. This was our first stay at Wild Boar but already looking to book for Christmas. Great communication from Katie. A very welcome addition to Kirkby Stephen

  • "We really enjoyed our stay."

Accommodation was exceptionally clean with everything we needed and the welcome hamper was much appreciated. There was a very informative book with local amenities and excellent places to eat. The breakfast at Mulberrybush cafe was excellent and the Fat Lamb pub was delicious. For day trips out it was ideally placed and off street parking was very spacious. All in all excellent, thanks for a great stay. Mike, Nadine and family

  • "Our stay at the Wild Boar was comfortable bar the heat that we are all experiencing at this moment."

An air conditioning unit in the apartment will make the place even better specially in hot weather season. Having said that, we were very pleased with our stay generally, the promptness and urgency with which all our requests were executed were impressive. Kate acceded to our request for a fan and was always available to assist us when needed. I fully recommend that place to any prospective holiday maker visiting the Yorkshire Dales and other attractions in the vicinity.

  • "A well located apartment convenient for travel into the Dales, Lakes and Howgill Fells and easy to reach via A66."

High quality of fixtures and fittings. Overall a very comfortable place to stay with great views of the hills from the front windows. Plenty of good walking nearby : the view of the amazing worn rocks in the river from the ‘Millenium Bridge’, accessed from the Nateby road just opposite Croglin Apartments, is not to be missed. The Viaducts walk starting at the same location as above makes a lovely evening walk. Good bakers shop in Kirkby Stephen plus cafes, independent shops and interesting church tucked away. An enjoyable stay.

  • "Amazing Apartment Clean, cluter-free, well designed and maintained and contact free arrival/departure."

My father and I had a fantastic stay. Not only was the Apartment clean so were the communal areas. The Apartment was on the first floor, due to health condition we worried about the stairs to the apartment, but half way up the staircase there is seating, it also provides an excellent passing place for those still wanting to social distance. The facilities in the apartment were excellent as was the view from the living area. One of the two double bedrooms had a balcony leading off it, a real plus to have your own outside space. The corner shower was a good size, even someone as large as I am (size 26) found it spacious. The Welcome pack was a lovely touch. Katie was an excellent 'host'/owner, during our stay Dad was just about to go into the building when she arrived to visit the building, as she was aware of dad's medical condition/immune system (made aware prior to stay) she stood a distance away from him and told him to go in first and she would give him time to climb the stairs to the apartment before she entered the building. The apartment had two TVs one in the living area, the other in one of the bedrooms. Could anything be improved? As dad and I don't sleep well a TV in both bedrooms would have been nice, but that is the only thing that could be and it did not hamper our enjoyment. The WiFi worked well, excellent sized fridge/freezer, Comfortable beds and seating in the living area. There are five apartments in the building, each offer something different, we chose the Wild Boar due to it having two double bedrooms. There is also a private carpark to the side of the building, with spacious sized bays. Would highly recommend and look forward to our next stay.
