The stunning beamed sitting room boasts an open fire and the master bedroom has a decorative period fireplace.

The first floor also has a modern bathroom and a second relaxing and recreational area with comfortable seating, together with a selection of games and books for guests use.

On the second floor is a twin bedroom.

Outside there is a pleasant cottage garden with lawns and a patio with lovely views over countryside with the Wastwater fells in the distance.

This is a peaceful haven to relax in with a morning coffee or perhaps something stronger after your day's activities.

Close by there is Stanton Bridge, a favourite for walkers and cyclists and the glorious Wasdale which has Wastwater the deepest lake in the Lake District and is said to be one of the most beautiful and striking views in the UK.

The Bridge Inn which is walking distance from the cottage serves excellent food and also houses the annual World's Biggest Liar competition every November.

For something different why not try the Eskdale single track steam train or how about a day on the coast at attractive St Bees with its coastal walk and beach which is also within a short drive.

Muncaster Castle which is said to be haunted is also nearby with its majestic position and set in 70 acres there is also a hawk and owl centre here.
