    • “For my partner and myself the whole objective of the holiday was a few days away to 'chill' and enjoy some walking (with the dog). To this end everything was perfect - and the weather was pretty much OK too!! We have stayed in numerous cottages throughout the years and I/we have to say that Beehive Cottage has to be the cosiest of the lot. Bentham - with its range of shops and services - proved to be a brilliant base from which to explore (and walk). 'What did we particularly like? - EVERYTHING!!!!'””

    • “Great 17th century cottage tastefully upgraded but still retaining old world charm. Bentham is served buy several good eating places, two small supermarkets and a variety other shops plus a railway station. Although positioned on the fringe of the Dales there is easy access to the main areas of interest”

Walks from the door, station within walking distance. Would recommend this cottage and would stay here again.”

    • “Most comfortable and best equipped cottage I have ever stayed in. Ideally situated for sight seeing. Only short walk into the village where we could buy our daily needs. A pretty private peaceful garden where we could relax. So many personal touches to the accommodation that made us feel so much at home.”

    • “Ideal Location”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “Our first visit to the Dales and this was the perfect location for visiting this beautiful area. The cottage itself was lovely, but just be careful if you are 6ft or over. I didn't have any problems but my husband and son both went home with lumps on their heads due to the beams and low height of a couple of the doors. This aside we all loved every minute of our holiday. Apart from the ceiling in the main bedroom, my favourite room was the kitchen. In fact the whole cottage was very quirky and cosy. The caretaker lady was lovely and very helpful and also, because we had not visited the area before, we found the information booklet was very helpful and we visited lots of lovely places. We would happily return.”

    Ms Simmons, Holmfirth, May 2015

    • “The overall cleanliness, décor and state of the cottage made our holiday. There was a wonderful little wood burner at the property which was a delight to have in the evenings. The caretaker called to see us to check on things and offered any help we might need.”

    Mr Miles, Nuneaton, May 2015

    • “Liked the location of Beehive Cottage, tucked away in a corner in a market town in the scenic Yorkshire Dales, near to Lancaster and Kirby Lonsdale. As well as Beehive Cottage itself, with its history and original features, and the cosy multi fuel stove. Also, the immense attention to detail taken by the owners and housekeeper, to furnish it with everything necessary and to keep it spotlessly clean.”

    Mrs Griffiths, Evesham, March 2015

    • “The cottage was beautifully presented and extremely well equipped.”

    Mrs Roberts, Kenilworth, March 2015

    • “A very clean and well equipped cottage in a good location. Excellent value for money. We would definitely go back.”

    • “Great location for walking and a dog friendly pub next door.”

    Mr Lancewicz, Cleckheaton, October 2014

    • “This is a cottage I have stayed in during past years and it was terrific to find it again still with the same high standards, a home away from home. It would be hard to find a cottage better equipped than this one. It is in a great location for walking and cycling and there is no shortage of things to explore.”

Miss Spragg, Leighton Buzzard, October 2014

    • “Everything necessary for a superb holiday was provided. All the information we required was readily available.”

    Mr Whitelaw, Halesowen, September 2014

    • “Just a beautiful cottage.”

    Mr Grey, London, August 2014

    • “A wonderful cottage in a good location with lots of information on days out. This made a wonderful relaxing holiday. We will re book again and recommend this cottage.”

    Mr Woodroof, Northampton, August 2014

    • “The best equipped cottage we have stayed in - plenty of cooking equipment, crockery etc for 3 adults with lots of "spares". Liked the Village - not many tourists but everyone was friendly and the local pub was very welcoming. The caretaker introduced herself during the week and made sure everything was OK, which was nice.”
