Felt at home from the second we arrived. We stayed a week and did not want to leave. Very comfortable and warm with amazing views. Lovely quiet spot with walk from the doorstep. Walk into town took less than ten minutes. Local spar, co op butchers and bakery with friendly pubs. Salt and pepper pots were the only thing we lacked. No welcome basket at this property which is unusual for a five star more expensive cottage just a pack of biscuits and some milk but we brought our own treats and fizz. Would definitely return

All bedding and towels are high end hotel standard. Loads of pillows on each bed too. Slept very well. The only thing that would have improved our week would have been a bbq, totally my fault for not checking as the cottage is not advertised with one, so not a critisism bit more a suggestion. • "We had an amazing week at Lane Foot cottage, the online photo's do not do it justice."

The location of the cottage for exploring the local area was fantastic with public footpaths directly from the doorstep. Inside the cottage was beautiful, homely, very warm and spotlessly clean. Ideal for a family of 5 and 1 dog who loved the enclosed garden. I have already recommended to friends and would also book to stay again. Thank you to Fiona who made us feel very welcome.

  • "We loved staying at the cottage, it has everything you need for a comfortable holiday."

Beautiful walks are on the doorstep. The cottage advert doesn't make much mention of the garden, but it should as it's a superb size backing onto fields with attractive stone brick walls. The views behind the cottage are that of open fields. We loved the powerful shower in the en suite, that was a great way to start the day. The huge bath tub in the main bathroom was a great way to relax after a days walking and sight seeing. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore Yorkshire and Cumbria. We would definitely go back.
