This beautiful Ribblesdale village sits within the National Park and provides home to lots of pretty traditional Dales buildings, a lovely Norman church and two pubs. The surrounding countryside is magnificent, offering the ideal location for fell walking, with the famous Three Peaks Walk, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough offering some of the most challenging walks in the country. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway passes through the village and passes some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham and the delightful villages of Ingleton and Hawes.

The cottage was very homely and well-equipped. Coal was provided for the fire. Excellent location for visiting the Yorkshire Dales.

As a German visitor the typical English cottage style and the surroundings next to the Pennine Way and other walking paths. The overall warm and cosy atmosphere.
