Location: Ingleton

Kirkby Lonsdale 6 miles; Settle 12 miles.

Nestling under Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks, on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The centre of the village is pretty with narrow and winding streets, centred on a tiny market place. The village's well known White Scar Caves (a mile outside the village on the Hawes road) are open to the public and have a dazzling display of stalactites and stalagmites, caverns and a huge underground lake. There is a superb circular waterfall walk (“Falls Walk”) which takes in some impressive cascades. An excellent location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales and within easy reach of the Lake District.

The Property

A traditional old pub is 'en-suite', so to speak, being just a ten second walk away. Previous visitors' comments about Bytheway Cottage:

The owners went the extra mile to make us feel at home and helped us in anyway they could. The cottage included lots of extra little treats which you would not even get at a hotel. Attention to detail was fantastic.
Mr Osborne, King's Lynn, February 2012

Brilliant cottage furnished to a very high standard throughout. The wine, scones and chocolates were lovely and we would recommend this lovely cottage to anyone looking for a home from home property to stay in and explore this lovely area.
Mrs Thomis, York, January 2012

Well equipped house with all the modern conveniences. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The Christmas touches and gifts were particularly nice. A great base to explore the three peaks and more!
Mr Faris, Jeddah, December 2011

The cottage was the best one we have stayed in.
