The property

A lovely stone-built cottage situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Ingleton, on the edge the Yorkshire Dales National Park and close to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This cottage is ideally located with local amenities on its doorstep and is within close range of Yorkshire's Three Peaks, Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen Y Ghent.

This romantic cottage has been tastefully renovated by the owner to provide first-class accommodation for couples looking to explore this magnificent area.

Set over two floors, upstairs you will find a delightful king-size double bedroom and the family bathroom where you can soak in the bath after a long day’s walking in the impressive nearby countryside.

The ground floor features a superb open plan living area, complete with a woodburning stove, to relax in front of and get cosy on the comfortable seating, as well as a well-equipped kitchen and dining table to enjoy a meal for two.

There are lovely views from the back of the cottage over the Ingleton viaduct and the surrounding area.

Surrounded by impressive mountains, caves and waterfalls, Ingleton is a real gem of the Yorkshire Dales.

Just a short walk from the cottage is the famous Ingleton waterfall trail, boasting some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in England.

There is also plenty to see indoors, be sure to visit the local pottery, artisan shops, country pubs and indoor climbing wall.

A local attraction not to be missed is the magnificent limestone White Scar Caves and café, with outstanding valley views.

The area is also home to the famous Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle railway and within a 10 minute drive you can catch the steam train and enjoy a scenic ride.

You may be lucky enough to catch the spectacular sight of it as it travels over the viaduct.

Within half an hour’s drive you will come across the popular market towns of Settle and Hawes, or further afield the Lake District is easily reachable for a day out.

Nestling under Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks, on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. There's also a year-round climbing wall, as well as a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool in a beautiful riverside setting. The attractive village centre has narrow winding streets centred on a tiny market place. The village's main claim to fame is the superb Waterfalls' Walk, while the well known White Scar Caves are just over a mile away. An excellent location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.
