Great place, great location, everything within 30 mins drive for the kids. The owners showed great hospitality and a very warm welcome. Would definitely recommend and revisit in the future.

Pickle Barn is in a stunning location, really peaceful with fantastic views on all sides. It is within easy reach of the A65 and extremely close to the border with both Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales, so day trips to both plus of course the Lake District are an absolute must. The barn itself is really well equipped and comfortable, with very helpful owners. The tea and cakes on arrival were very welcome. A wonderful property!

One of the best, if not the best, property of Sykes Cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in many great places over the years. I can't fault it in any way. The owner was welcoming and left essential goodies which were much appreciated. If you want a holiday where you can swtich-off, this is the place for you. In the middle of the rolling countryside it is a great place to recharge your batteries. However, there are lots of interesting places to visit within the vicinity so you can have the best of both worlds.
