This Kirkby Lonsdale cottage retains much character, with old oak beams, slate floors and hand-made oak furniture combining perfectly with modern fixtures such as underfloor heating. There is an open plan living area with views of the open countryside, plus attractive bedrooms and a quality bathroom. In a quiet setting amongst the countryside of the Lune Valley, this Kirkby Lonsdale cottage lies between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Parks. The owner specialises in rare breeds, with cattle, hens, geese, horses and sheep, and visitors to this Kirkby Lonsdale cottage are welcome to look around, watch the animals and enjoy farm life. An abundance of pretty walks and cycle routes lead from the doorstep, whilst the Lune Valley and medieval Devil's Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale are well worth a visit. There are fantastic fishing and riding opportunities near this Kirkby Lonsdale cottage, together with a choice of golf courses, whilst Kendal and the pretty villages of Arnside, Sedbergh and Settle make excellent days out. Thank you to our hosts for a lovely cottage. We all enjoyed our stay. The children particularly liked waking up to see the cows outside our door. The cottage is ideal for touring the lakes, Ingleton and Kirkby Lonsdale. We hope to be back again soon.

this cottage is on a working farm, it was lovely waking up to the cows mooing and sheep baaing right outside the cottage. The owners are excellent hosts and very helpful. I've never felt so relaxed after a weeks holiday. The location is fabulous, excellent for exploring the Lakes and the Dales and is so peaceful, and great for the dog too.
