About the location

Lindale

Grange-over-Sands 3 miles; Windermere 12 miles.

The small village of Lindale is situated in the southern Lake District just a few short miles from the coastal estuary and the seaside town of Grange-over-Sands. Sitting on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell it has a true 'Lakeland feel' with narrow streets, traditional dwellings and a quaint old pub. Cartmel, with its famous annual horse race meetings and the pretty coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are all neighbours and worthy of a visit. Just a short drive away is Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead - which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many. Set amidst the charm of the southern lakes this attractive village makes an inspiring choice from which to enjoy the whole of a magical area.

Central heating responded quickly ensuring the house was always warm. Easy to keep clean. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Good TV and reception. Excellent WiFi connection - we faced timed Australia without any problem. Comfortable beds and the quiet location and lack of street lighting allowed some much needed sound sleep!

Mrs Rutter, Rochdale, December 2013

A beautiful cosy cottage in a great location. A good fire when we got it going. Nicely furnished and very comfortable. Had a great break away, will definitely be coming back again.

Miss Potter, Manchester, December 2013

The cottage is cosy and very comfortable. It has been very well equipped, and is nicely furnished.

Mrs luscombe, Chelmsford, November 2013

We loved the setting of the cottage and the privacy afforded to us was great. It was nice to know that if required we could contact the owners/caretakers at any time. The whole experience at this lovely cottage and village was more than we hoped for, and have spread the word about it to family and friends.

Ms Irwin, Dumbarton, October 2013
