  • "This was our second visit to these cottages."

They are spacious and well presented. Location is perfect for our personal likes. Red squirrel's half a mile away on our first and last day, just perfect.

  • "Great stay at Wellgarth cottage."

The cottage was well equipped with four good sized bedrooms one which was ensuite and two reception rooms, a big dining table and plenty of space for my wife and me and our three kids. Nice quiet location with plenty of parking. Good base to explore the lakes and the sights. We would definitely come back.

  • "We enjoyed out holiday at Wellgarth cottage."

The cottage is quite spacious and well stocked with all the amenities one would expect. Lots of car parking space and the cottage is within a 30 minute drive of both Keswick and Windermere. The beds are also quite comfortable, which is always a plus after a day out. The only down side is that the area doesn't have good cellphone coverage. The cottage has Internet access , but at times the connection is flaky. Would recommend the cottage to any family looking for reasonably priced accommodation close to the Lake District and do not mind driving 30 minutes to the towns.

  • "Lovely cottage in the eden valley and owners very helpful."

We all had an amazing time and the house was brilliantly equipt with everything a family would need including little toys for the baby. Only thing that lets this down is the lack of phone service and wifi

  • "Perfect base for our three household, multi generational holiday."

Ample car parking for our three cars. Friendly and helpful owners. Quiet court yard in lovely quiet village in quiet Vale of Eden. Yet close enough to Lake District, which was extremely busy, even away from honeypot locations. Enjoyed three days walking in Lake District and three days in Vale of Eden, walking and cycling. We all hope to return to this property.

Very spacious and comfortable accommodation. Situated in the lovely Eden valley. We went on some lovely walks. Very peaceful and relaxing. I have already recommended to someone else.

  • "The house we stayed in was in a lovely, quiet village."

There was plenty of room for all of us. I would say it was very good value for money. The house was ideally located for visiting the area with many attractions only a 30 minute drive away. There are also some walks directly from the property and there is also a really nice park in the neighbouring village. The owners were very friendly and helpful. My partner had to work whilst we were there and the WiFi was very useful for this considering how people are currently working. The house may benefit from satellite broadband, but I appreciate most people would not require it if they were on holiday. We left an item at the house and the owners have posted it. We had a wonderful time at the property.

It was well equipped with everything we needed and was reasonably priced when compared with other 4-bedroom properties in the north lakes area. I would thoroughly recommend it.
