The classic Victorian seaside town of Southport is just a short drive, and offers some of the finest golf courses in Britain, excellent shopping, a beautiful promenade, the annual Southport Flower Show and the not-to-be-missed annual Air Show. With excellent road and rail links to Manchester, Cumbria and the Lakes, Liverpool with its colourful heritage and the western Dales, this is a location that is worth discovering whatever the time of year.

The Property

An outstanding detached, brick-built, former farm building on a working farm on the edge of the pretty village of Bispham Green, ten miles from Southport. This cosy Lancashire cottage has been thoughtfully converted to provide superb facilities over one floor, yet it still retains the immense character and charm of the original dwelling. Modern styling and elegant furnishings are evident throughout the accommodation in this Lancashire cottage, which features a spacious living room with crook beams and exposed brickwork, a stylish kitchen, a lovely bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and a delightful private garden. The owners have private freshwater ponds, where free fishing is available. Nearby there are many interesting things to do and see including the Cedar Farm Galleries, Rufford Old Hall and Formby Point, which boasts a large area of beach, sand dunes and pine woods, which are still home to the red squirrel. This Lancashire cottage makes a great touring base, with the Lake District, the western Dales and the Trough of Bowland just an hours drive.
