Quaysider’s Club

Ambleside 1 mile. Quaysider’s Club is set within a small complex of 18 luxurious apartments located at Waterhead, at the tip of Lake Windermere, on the outskirts of Ambleside in the Lake District. Each of the apartments sleep four and have use of the on-site small indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and sauna. Being literally a stone’s throw away from Lake Windermere they are ideal for a Lake District holiday with beautiful scenery in every direction. As the sun rises, a serene image emerges and at the end of the day the sunset over the Lake District fells will captivate everyone and the memories will be sure to stay with you long after you leave this magical landscape. Just across the road is Borrans Park and at the lakeside, you can hop on the Windermere Steamer and cruise down the lake to Bowness or Lakeside. Alternatively, during high season there is a shuttle bus taking visitors to the centre of Ambleside where there is a host of superb cafes and shops to enjoy. Make a night of it and enjoy a film and delicious meal at Zeffirellis, perfect for the whole family. About the location

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
