  • "The only fault I found with the property is the step lights from car park up to property were not working."

Very dark that you could not see the steps. All in all it is a lovely place and especially where its situated. We will come again.

  • "We spent a lovely week staying in Wastwater."

It was perfect for us and had everything we needed. The location is good, it is quiet and there are lovely views from the window upstairs. It is a 15-20 minute walk into Bowness or Windermere. The location is also convenient for visiting other lakes. We had a week of good weather which made the Lake District even more beautiful!

Thank you for your kind feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back soon! Property Owner

  • "It’s a nice cottage, the 2 seater and the 1 seater chair are very uncomfortable to sit on and need replacing and the Shower needs needs repair (a new lead and maybe the riser replacing) it wouldn’t stay in the fixture."

It was an ideal property for the 2 of us and in a good location. The parking is very difficult and probably impossible for 2 cars to park, there’s not enough room to turn your car to get into position to park it and if you did it would be difficult to get out as you are very close to the stone pillars. We parked on the road. Would I return, Yes I would if these is issues are addressed. But we did enjoy are holiday.

  • "Cottage was really lovely, only 10 minute walk into town so really central."

Very clean and the kitchen was amazing not that I used it much, only for breakfast. Sitting room was great and really nice that a throw was provides if you felt a bit chilly. Bed was really comfortable. Shower was quite small, if you were a large person it would be a bit of a squeeze.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back soon! Property Owner

  • "The property was clean and comfortable ,we enjoyed our stay at Wastwater only thing we would criticise is the parking it would be ok for one but not suitable for two properties."

We're glad you enjoyed your stay! We are currently working on widening our parking spaces to make it easier for two cars to fit. We hope to see you soon! Property Owner

  • "Lovely well designed cottage and very comfortable bed and excellent kitchen facilities."

Very nice en-suite bathroom and good water supply. Well situated accessing local amenities. A little disappointed that the advertised view from upstairs lounge was obscured by unnecessarily tall trees. It was also unfortunate the heating didn’t work (apparently it was operated by a boiler in the adjoining property which was undergoing renovation so nothing could be done about this) as the first couple of days were very cold. Draughtproofing the front door would make an enormous difference to the warmth of the downstairs bedroom. Parking space would be quite difficult if you take a large car. Overall a very pleasant accommodation.

Thank you for your feedback. Hopefully the heaters provided made sure that the rooms stayed warm whilst the boiler was being worked on. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon! Property Owner
