Previous visitors' comments about Barley Cottage:

Lovely cosy cottage in a very quiet area but very accessible to the Lakes if needed. Walks from the door. Very dog friendly. Will be back.
Mrs Wallace, Deeside, February 2013

One of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. Tastefully modernised inside whilst still retaining it's quaint character. A modern central heating system ensured that we came into a warm cottage every evening. We hope to return sometime!
Mr Tomlinson, Stockton-on-Tees, October 2012

The cottage was well located with lovely local walks by the river Lune. The cottage itself was so clean, well decorated and equipped. The bed was more comfortable than mine - didn't want to get out.
